The Republic of Yemen held a Consultative Group Meeting (CGM) with her development cooperation partners under the patronage of his  Excellency President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen. The Meeting was held during 15-16 November 2006, and was hosted by the Government of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in London at Lancaster House. The Government of the Republic of Yemen and the World

Bank chaired the CGM, which was sponsored by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Senior Ministers from GCC countries and other senior representatives of donors governments and agencies attended this landmark event. The GCC has come forward to support Yemen’s integration into its economies and to show strong commitment to enhance Yemen’s efforts to scaling up development and poverty reduction efforts.
